IFS

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is based on the concept that the mind is made up of different “parts” or sub-personalities, each with its own feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. IFS is grounded in the idea that these parts are often in conflict, and that healing comes from understanding and harmonizing these internal dynamics.

IFS therapy is often used for trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues, among other challenges. It emphasizes self-compassion, non-pathologizing of internal conflicts, and the idea that even extreme behaviors or emotions have protective roles within the system.

Trish trained in IFS through the Stepping Stones program at the Internal Family Systems Counselling Association (https://ifsca.ca/) and offers IFS informed services.
